  1. Hi Adam,
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ghatswood. It is well situated to walk to the beach or into the village, you’ve got to be vertical sometime on holiday, saying that we did have a scooter for three weeks to potter about on and go to Agonda.
As you know we stayed in three apartments, all well equipped with everything you could need including lots of books, which we added to as well. When anyone is on a long stay it is nice to stay in for a night or two, you actually get fed up of eating out. We did use the pool as well for the same reason that it’s nice to have a day off the beach. Ravi keeps the outside sorted, the pool was as clean as a whistle. Enjoyed watching the coconut tree trimmer. I do landscaping at home and used to rock climb so I do go up and trim trees in the UK but usually with a harness and ropes.
Mathilda keeps the inside sorted and any clothes that are washed are like new.
Plus with John overseeing everything we think that Ghatswood is spot on. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he did accompany us to the airport which was appreciated.
Some people say that it expensive to stay at for a long period, rubbish, yes it is more than places with rock hard beds and poorly equipped, we talked to one couple who had to go out and buy a kettle and mugs for their “self catering apartment”. We payed 3000 Rupees in Agonda for a room with a real mattress.
Only two slightly negative comments, the hot water was extremely hot to the point of being dangerous especially for kids or older people who maybe could not get out of the shower quick enough, and this one is purely for us on a long stay, I could not get the knives to sharpen. I would think guests on a short stay might not be bothered but we found a Pork butcher in Varca and we just had to have huge pork chops with potatoes and veg as an English treat (three times). As well as landscaping we have a sandwich shop in Keswick and when I am in the kitchen the knives have got to be sharp.
To sum up, if we are going to Goa we are going to Ghatswood.

    Thanks again

    Barry and Jan

  2. Dear Adam
Our stay at Ghatswood over Christmas could not have been better. John and Matilda were very helpful and attended to our every request.
We hired bicycles locally and so were able to ride out each day for provisions – to Colva chicken and fish market and also to the local fruit and veg stalls. We also loved riding out to see some of the more remote beaches. Ghatswood is in an ideal location because you can easily walk to the local restaurants and shops. Cooking in the apartment was a dream as there is plenty of kitchen equipment provided and the gas range is great for cooking on. This is the first time in many trips to Goa that we actually preferred staying in and chilling out in the flat as opposed to trying out all of the local restaurants. We are both looking forward to spending our Christmas holiday with you again this year.

  3. Dear Adam
We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our Christmas stay at Ghatswood. The apartments are really luxurious and spacious and the pool as clear as crystal. John was delightful and nothing was too much trouble for him. Our pick up to and from the airport was brilliant. Being part of local life is lovely and we fell in love with Benaulim village and Sernabatim beach. We wholeheartedly recommend Ghatswood to anyone viewing this site and we will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

  4. Hi Adam, We flew back last night & coming to terms with traditional Christmas weather! We wanted to say thank you to you & the staff for a lovely relaxing stay. The place is great; so spacious & immaculately clean & well maintained & we really enjoyed the location & feeling part of village life. The daily stroll to the beach was fascinating with so much to see – as well as saying hello to everyone. Happy Christmas & we really hope to return at some point. Best wishes Caroline

  6. Dear Adam,

Thank you so very much for letting us stay in your beautiful Ghatswood. We had the most wonderful relaxing holiday and fell in love with Goa and Ghatswood. Matilda, Jon and Melvin looked after us so well and were so kind. We had such fun on Tock-tock rides with Dominic. We just can’t wait to return next year.

    With very many thanks

  8. Dear Adam
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Years.
I just wanted to let you know what an absolutely fabulous time we had at Ghatswood. I cannot say
enough about how perfect the place was and John Correia was incredible. He could not have
been more helpful or accommodating. He had great advice about places to go, how to get there, etc.
The lady [Matilda] who cleaned the apartments was also just wonderful, friendly and did a marvellous
    job.
We had such a magical time and feel very fortunate to have stayed at Ghatswood. I hope
    we can visit again!
Can’t believe we are back in London and back to work.
I will certainly recommend your place and if you ever need a quote for your website, or want to refer
anyone to me for a recommendation please don’t hesitate, you won’t get a better soundbite!

    All the best
    Liz

  9. Thanx Adam and John with staff. We had a beutiful stay. The standard of this place is “top nodge.” We will be coming back… 🙂

  10. Dear Adam
I am delighted to comfirm these dates **/**/11 to **/**/12 for apartment *.
this year there will only be the two of us so if you have a bigger party that could do with a bigger room we don’t mind swapping to suite one if available.the 200 pounds deposit will be paid into your account when required.just a few comments on the staff, john was very helpful throughout, he was there for anything and everything, we had a barbie and was helping with that, went out of his way to get extra lighting and barbie fuel from Colva, a really nice guy. Melvin and Matilda were also lovely, the rooms were cleaned and nothing any trouble for either of them to do for us. just to say the whole of our stay was really special and to top it all we made friends with Trish and Michael from suite three.

    regards peter and Julie

  11. we stayed in suite 1 for three weeks 2010
from our collection taxi at airport on time, comfortable vehicle courteous driver, happy smiling at 1am in the morning. arrival at ghatswood. wow I was gobsmacked what a wonderful apartment we have been to goa for 10 years I am so happy that I have at last found paradise to stay in (apart from 5* hotels which cost a fortune now) just simply everything we needed. modern, clean. a superb ensuite/ & 2nd bathroom its discription is what you get, and more.
staff were so helpful happy, anything to oblige its clients.
loved the little village its in and surrounding. the baker called on his bike most night with wonderful hot bread/rolls sold for a pitance. cried when we left to come home.
we have booked again, and will again and again. thanks adam and the team

  12. Dear Adam,

How lovely to stay in such a superb apartment and still be in the middle of village life.
Ghatswood has to rate amongst the top places we have staying during 18 trips to Goa.
The attention to detail and level of equipment is great.
We were so impressed that we rebooked for next December within a week of coming home.
Thank you for your assistance and advice prior to our stay

  13. We have just returned from spending 2 weeks at your appartments, we shared with my uncle and had plenty of room, he is still there, lucky devil. We took advantage of your bbq facilities too, John looked after us really well and so did the maid, Matilda (I think that was her name).
I know my uncle Peter is booking with you next year, i hope that tells everyone what a lovely place you have there.

  14. Having a wonderful stay and love the setting too of Ghatswood – early in the morning is best when the pigs are scurrying around squealing with the croaky cockerel not actually crowing. And the old granny smacking the little lad who lives at the end of the lane ‘cos he’s normally doing something he shouldn’t. Much better than the other part of Benaulim which is full of shops and other apartments!

    Kind regards
    Gill

  15. Dear Adam

Returned from Goa on Monday having had a very happy time in Ghatswood.Suite 3 was exactly as advertised, of a very high standard in a very natural environment all of which made our holiday.
IF it is possible we would like to book suite 3 for Christmas 2010

  16. Hi Adam

Just a very quick note to say we had a fantastic holiday in Goa and loved the apartment, great spot and great facilities.

I am sure we will be in touch about another trip next year!

    Many thanks
    Nick

  17. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. There was a lot of attention to detail – thank you for the thoughtful provision of wine, Kingfisher and water on arrival. The crockery, glassware, cutlery and utensils were lovely. We liked the shelf in the dressing room, the lined and pinch pleated curtains and the flowers on the dining table.
